Printing full page - Macromedia Flex General Discussion

Hello, we have a grid, witch is not bigger than a print page. When we try to print the grid, only the part that is visible in the application is printed on the printer. We found some examples to scroll the grid and print the grid onto two pages - but that is not what we want. So how is it possible to fill a whole page, when the application window is small? Default Printing full page

    Hello,

we have a grid, witch is not bigger than a print page. When we try to print
the grid, only the part that is visible in the application is printed on the
    printer.

We found some examples to scroll the grid and print the grid onto two
pages - but that is not what we want.

So how is it possible to fill a whole page, when the application window is
    small?

    Regards

It is posible if you are a flash expert. I will try to find a post that does
work in a minute, but you cannot do this with the normal print/page functions
in Flex. I hope someone can prove me wrong.

Search for "Printing a Datagrid" you wll find more info and a hidden datagrid solution that might work.

    Hello ntsiii,

the only examples I found, leaf the original datagrid in the same size and
    scroll the gird.
But this does not help me. I need a solution to print a hole printer page.
I would be glad, if someone cound provide me with any onther examples.

And can you send me a link with the hidden datagrid solution?

    Regards

The full name of the thread is "Printing a Datagrid does not work as in
Technote" Find that. It has both the Flash-based solution and a bit of
discussion of the hidden datagrid method.

Basically, you must create a datagrid that is the visual size of the page you
want to print, then show it for printing and then hide it when done. Not very
    elegant.
