PRinting issues with Fh8 files in FHMX - Macromedia Freehand

From Opening the Fhrrehand 8 files in Freehand MX, the file shows up as a (converted) doent. When trying to print this doent to a PSL2 or PSL3 printer, the file dies in transit. The only to get the file to print is to Copy the data out, paste it into a new FHMX doent, then print. The data packet makes its destination. Is there an issue with Postscript rights? I know Adobe owns Psotscript..is this some kind of fallout from the Adobe/Macromedia lawsuit? And if I print the file from FH8 in Classic mode, it prints fine. What gives?...

Default PRinting issues with Fh8 files in FHMX

Default Re: PRinting issues with Fh8 files in FHMX

I see that the FHMX 'Emerging Issues' page has been updated:

http://www.macromedia.com/support/freehand/ts/doents/fhmx_emerging__issue
s.htm
(watch text wrap)

It offers no solution, but an acknowledgement that the problem exists. There
must be an error during file conversions from FH8 to FHMX.

Adobe/Macromedia lawsuit was about the use of tabbed panels in the user
interface. It wouldn't have anything to do with this issue.
