Default Printing multiple freehand pages to a single page of paper

Has anyone ever gotten the "layout" printing feature of Freehand to actually work. Every time I try to use this feature, Freehand just stacks the multiple pages one on top of another, creating something that is wholely unuseable.

    Any help would be appreciated.

Are you talking about the 'Pages per sheet' option in the 'Layout' panel of
the AdobePS printer driver? If so, that's not a Freehand feature, and I
guess that's the problem. I've never got it to play nice with Freehand (the
'print on both sides' option works though), which is a shame, as it could be
    handy for very simple impositions.

I've asked about this both here and on the AdobePS forum, and if I remember
correctly, Adobe's answer was something along the lines of "This is one of
AdobePS's 'SOHO' features, and is not recommended for use with professional
Postscript graphics applications". This explanation is backed up by the fact
that it sort of works with MS Word, a program that relies on the page size
set in AdobePS's Page Setup to determine the document's page size. I think
that maybe all the different places to select page size in Freehand (Page
Setup, FH's own Print Setup, and the Document Inspector) must conflict.

    Danny,

Thats the info I needed. So, its a feature of Freehand that isnt really a feature...got it.

The way I got around this was to export the entire document to PDF, open the PDF in acrobat and then print it fitting 6 or 9 (depending) pages per sheet of paper. Since that is a non postscript environment it worked.

Thanks for the info as I had been wracking my brain for quite a while and wasting quite a lot of paper.
