Printing Options
Hi.
New to inDesign so forgive a probably easy answer.
I've designed a CD Jewel case insert and am having trouble understanding how to print it onto some Memorex paper. I'm used to using Word where you pick the paper type and the printer prints it according to the paper specs.
Is this how it works on this program? If so, what is the process.
If not, how to I get inDesign to print it on the specific paper?
(Then again, are all CD Jewel paper the same no matter the brand therefore eliminating the need for picking a paper type?)
Thanks

Re: Printing Options
Generally, the provider of specialty papers, such as labels, inserts, badges (stink'in), etc. provide technical information within the paper package or have same plus actual template documents downloadable from their website. Unfortunately, this is not the case with Memorex.
What I suggest you do is sacrifice one sheet of the CD Jewel case insert stock and measure exactly where on that sheet the content should be placed. Then, create a document in InDesign that matches the size of the sheet and create frames on a master page corresponding to the location of the CD jewel case insert(s) on that sheet. Then "fill in" from there with what you have already designed.

Re: Printing Options
Thanks Dov.
Better yet, I think I'll take the paper back and get something I can use more easily.
Do you have any suggestions as to paper types? (I plan to post this as a separate thread, too)
