Printing problems with Acrobat Professional 6.0.5

    Default Printing problems with Acrobat Professional 6.0.5

    Hi All,

    I have 5 acrobat professional 6.0.5 software running on 5 Mac G5s. I have them networked so they can print to a HP DESKJET 9300 printer. However, I am unable to print any PDF file to this printer, the printer have the latest drivers and professional have the latest updates. I have re-installed the adobe software, drivers and printer software on number of times but still can't print.

    I am able to print any other files e.g word, excel, jpeg or tiff. I can also print any PDF file with PREVIEW which comes with MAC (a real saviour). Has anyone had this problem with the same model printer? Any ideas why I am having problems? For such a price, I shouldn't have any problems with printing which is standard for most software.

    Delete the printer driver, then re-install.

    When I try to print from Acrobat 6.x or Office v.x the print button will not respond to being clicked on or to the return key. This does not happen with other programs, where I can print normally. I have now had this on two separate printers, one a Dell the other an HP. At first I thought it was the fact that Dell doesn't have Mac drivers, but tonight I just set up an HP 1320n and I am having the exact same problem.

    PDFs DO print from preview.
    I CAN print from other CS applications (I don't have CS2).

    Computer: MacBook Pro 15" (Mactel) w/Tiger

    Printers: Dell m5200; HP LaserJet 1320n

    Software: Microsoft Office for Mac v.x; Acrobat Professional 6.05
