Printing problems with PS 7
I'm new to PS 7. When I print a 4 X 6 photo, the margin at the end of the picture is too large. I'm using an HP 842 printer. Setting my paper to 4 X 6 index card. Any suggestions? Be specific, I'm a beginner.

Re: Printing problems with PS 7
Randy,
The issue is a physical one. Your inkjet must push paper underneath the print heads. At some point, you run out of paper so-to-speak, to push underneath the heads. Thus, your bottom margin is generally larger than the top or side margins.
Some printers (like some of the Epson Photo Series) deal with this by moving the paper in tinier increments and include an "edge-to-edge" feature which, in most cases does a fine job of printing to the bottom of a page. It's not the norm however.
So what do you do? Well, you can try to fool your printer driver by defining a custom piece of paper that is larger than the 4x6; that's tricky and results IMO, well, aren't good.
The other thing is that you can trim. I know, it's a PITA, but unless you can get your printer to print in that back end "dead zone", that's about all I can think of.
Peace,
Tony

Re: Printing problems with PS 7
Thanks for your response. I'll give it a try. I didn't mention that this problem started with my new computer, (same printer). I didn't have a problem printing before. Thanks again for your suggestion.
