Printing still a nightmare...
Has anyone EVER been able to get sharp lines + beautiful vibrant color in AI 10/Mac OS 10.2.8? I have to print in AI 8 out of Mac OS 9 to get this, and my latest workaround, an Epson 1280 + rip brings the sharp lines back but the color is not good. Does anyone know the magic printer that will do the job? Will Epson ever make a driver that gets a good result from AI ever again? How long do we have to wait?

If you have a choice to print either graphics or photo mode with your epson, try graphics (should darken/make more vibrant. If not, and you have Photoshop, try exporting to Jpg and adjust the colors to suit in a high res jpg.
I'm doing portraits and find I do have to play around to get the print quality to what I want.
