problem accessing my workgroup
I am running 3 Windows XP Professional computers in a
home network. All three are part of a workgroup named
PANGEA and connect through an SMC barricade to access the
internet.
One of the computers lost its hard drive and I had to re-
build. I accidently put a 3COM 1000BaseT Nic card into
PCI slot 3. After installing the OS, hardware and
drivers, I cannot access my workgroup. A message comes up
that says:
"Pangea is not accessible. YOu might not have permission
to use this network resource. Contact the administrator
of this server to find out if you have access
permissions. The list of servers for this workgroup is
not currently available"
I did remove the 3COM Nic card and am using an NForce 2
Motherboard with on board NICs. The 3COM connection still
shows in my network connections even after uninstalling
many times... Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Brent
