Default Problem color matching Photoshop and printer

I have an image that is in adobe rgb color space. It was sent to a Fuji Frontier with that profile. On my calibrated screen the image looks the way I want, but when I go to "print with preview", the image looks the way it actually printed (slightly different color balance). My proof setup was showing the adobe color space. Am I missing something? Why does my image look different on the proof? Thanks.

Fuji Frontier is a sRGB device AFAIK. It doesn't understand embedded
profiles. You have to convert to the printers color space according
    to: <http://drycreekphoto.com/Frontier/using_frontier_profiles.htm>.
