problem connecting to website
Contibute won't let me connect to my website. It says there's an error with the
username and password that links to the FTP server. However, I checked with my
provider (FortuneCity), and the username and password I'm entering are correct.
Is this a problem with Contribute or with Fortune City, and how should I solve
it?!
Thank you.

Re: problem connecting to website
I have had this error where a firewall is blocking link, can to turn off
firewall and see if that solves problem, if so your issue is with
Firewall set-up. If you don't have a firewall and you can connect to
server, then in theory it must be your username, password or other FTP
settings that you need to work through

Re: problem connecting to website
Try entering only the IP address of the web server you're trying to connect to,
without any prefix before it such as ftp. or ftp:// -- that's what finally
worked for me, despite the connection wizard prompting me to put ftp. before
the IP address.
