Problem Creating B&W PDF's
I am using acrobat 4.0 with system 9.2. When creating PDF's from Pagemaker 6.5 and selecting the print colors in black for the most part it does fine, however on occasion it will leave a picture or a clipart image in RGB color. I have been unable to find a common cause as some images are from a digital camera, some are scanned, some are jpeg and some are eps's downloaded from internet.

Re: Problem Creating B&W PDF's
You are running a somewhat problematic combination there ....
Pagemaker with its RGB PPD files, Distiller 4.0 with its many thousands
of bugs and OS 9.x ;-)
My first reaction is to burrow into:
System Folder/Extensions/Printer Descriptions/Acrobat Distiller.ppd
Open the file in TextEdit and look for the syntax 'DefaultColorSpace'
and ensure it is CMYK ... if not then change it ... Re-boot Pagemaker
and try again ..
