> I am trying to import a .wav file into Director 8.5. I have a whole bunch
of wavs that I made myself (they are voice recordings) and most of them
won't import at all and those that will import won't play. I can
successfully import and play other .wavs. The files I wish to import range
between 300k and a couple of mbs. They are 16bit 22kHz stereo wavs in PCM
format. I can play the wavs in other applications. When i try to import the
wavs I get the following error message "Having trouble reading
filelocation\file. Continue importing? 85" Any help would be greatly
appreciated -- this is driving me mad. :-(

As crazy as it sounds, try copying the wav to another wav file and then try
importing this.

Probably won't work, but I've had some wacky problems importing files, and
silly things like this sometimes fix them.
