Problem in update-modules after upgrading
Hi,
I have upgraded from woody to sid. I have installed the alsa packages
when i am in woody, so that in woody, there is a file "alsa" in
/etc/modutils. Using "update-modules" cannot write file into
/etc/modules.conf.
However, when i am in sid, if i run "update-modules", the error messages
occur:
debian:/home/honoka# update-modules
/etc/modutils/alsa: line 12: alias: char-major-116: not found
/etc/modutils/alsa: line 12: alias: snd: not found
/etc/modutils/alsa: line 13: alias: snd-card-0: not found
/etc/modutils/alsa: line 13: alias: snd-via82xx: not found
/etc/modutils/alsa: line 14: alias: char-major-14: not found
/etc/modutils/alsa: line 14: alias: soundcore: not found
/etc/modutils/alsa: line 15: alias: sound-slot-0: not found
/etc/modutils/alsa: line 15: alias: snd-card-0: not found
/etc/modutils/alsa: line 16: alias: sound-service-0-0: not found
/etc/modutils/alsa: line 16: alias: snd-mixer-oss: not found
/etc/modutils/alsa: line 17: alias: sound-service-0-1: not found
/etc/modutils/alsa: line 17: alias: snd-seq-oss: not found
/etc/modutils/alsa: line 18: alias: sound-service-0-3: not found
/etc/modutils/alsa: line 18: alias: snd-pcm-oss: not found
/etc/modutils/alsa: line 19: alias: sound-service-0-8: not found
/etc/modutils/alsa: line 19: alias: snd-seq-oss: not found
/etc/modutils/alsa: line 20: alias: sound-service-0-12: not found
/etc/modutils/alsa: line 20: alias: snd-pcm-oss: not found
/etc/modutils/alsa: line 21: options: command not found
/etc/modutils/alsa: line 22: options: command not found
Error while executing /etc/modutils/alsa, aborting
Certainly, my /etc/modutils/alsa file is the following:
alias char-major-116 snd
alias snd-card-0 snd-via82xx
alias char-major-14 soundcore
alias sound-slot-0 snd-card-0
alias sound-service-0-0 snd-mixer-oss
alias sound-service-0-1 snd-seq-oss
alias sound-service-0-3 snd-pcm-oss
alias sound-service-0-8 snd-seq-oss
alias sound-service-0-12 snd-pcm-oss
options snd major=116 cards_limit=1 device_mode=0660
options snd-via82xx index=0
Can anyone suggest what the problem is?
Regards,
James Ng
