Well, yeah. Kexts get loaded when the system boots.

This kext is not a standard part of Mac OS X. Some Googling indicates
it's from Symantec-- products like Norton Antivirus and Norton System
Works are mentioned. The fix is either to get an update from Symantec
that doesn't have this problem, or to uninstall your Symantec software.

I don't have this software, but I bet there's an update. This is
exactly the kind of thing that needed updating in the switch from 10.1.x
    to 10.2.

Select "Don't Use", then go into the folder where Norton Antivirus is
installed and run LiveUpdate. You must do this while connected to the
Internet, and if you are using a dial-up modem the update process will take
    a while.

The version of NAV that you have installed was written for 10.1, and will
not work properly with changes that Apple made when 10.2 was released.
LiveUpdate will patch the program to run properly under 10.2.
