    Default Problem with capes in Dreaweaver 8

    Hi everybody :)

    I show up as a new user in this forum. I'm here cos I have to make a website
    for professional reasons and I have no idea about this!
    I have begun my site and now I get a problem with capes. It's in html format.
    I'd like to fill a cape with an image and then get another different cape over
    the first one. This way I'd be able to create a beatifull background.
    The problem is when I make this and I previsualiaze my project in my
    navigator, I can't see all capes! :( I have set them in the right order but I
    can't see them and I don't know what's happening.
    I'm very desperated and I have asked for help in many forums but I didn't get
    replay yet. May you help me?

    Many many thanks

    Thanks a lot, Murray. :) The first pic is this:

    <img src="http://img50.imageshack.us/img50/4931/website19ws.jpg" alt="Image
    Hosted by ImageShack.us" />

    The red arrow means that layer must be over the second one (the second layer
    is marked with a green arrow).

    This is the result in my navigator:

    <img src="http://img50.imageshack.us/img50/889/website25ar.jpg" alt="Image
    Hosted by ImageShack.us" />

    As you can see, only one layer appears (the one that was marked with a green
    arrow)
    Two both layers are set in right order so I don't know what's happening :(

    It is for the most part (although, I'd like to see the CSS too).
    > unluckly, I don't understand about codes:(
    If you are serious about web development, you will have to fix this. You
    cannot be effective/productive until you understand HTML and CSS.

    I can see one problem in the code you have pasted below -
    > <td width="800" height="684"><div id="Layer12">
    You must never place an absolutely positioned element directly into a table
    cell. Perhaps the easiest way to overcome your problems would be to change
    that line of code to this -

    <td width="800" height="684"><div style="position:relative;"><div
    id="Layer12">

    and then this line -
    > </div>
    > </div></td>
    to this -

    </div>
    </div>
    </div></td>

    By the way, this line -
    > </div>
    > </div></td>
    is definitive proof that you have nested one layer inside another, which is
    why when you delete the outer layer, you delete both of them.

    Oh, my God! I can't manage! This is a real nightmare for me. :(Now my site
    looks a mess. I understand my problem is I don't know anything about html code.
    What can I do? Do you know anybody who can resolve this problem for me? Sorry
    for the question. :(I chose Dreamweaver cos I didn't understand about codes or
    programming and now I see there isn't another way :(
    If there is any another option in Dreamweaver to resolve this I'd learn it

    Many of those here and on the DW forum can. But, none of us are quite sure
    what you want to happen on this site.

    That's would be correct.

    Finally the problem is resolved! :) The solution was I must write in the
    parameters section of the .swf archive:

    parameter = wmode
    value= transparent

    Now all layers are in the right order and I can see them in all navigators :)
