Problem with character palette and Tracking field: can't type zero after type is modified
System: Illustrator CS, Panther 10.3.3
Try this: Create a few characters of type. Select some letters and change their tracking (Option + Command + Right Arrow, for example). Select the text string and make a copy of it close by the other one. Select both strings with the Move tool.
Notice the tracking field of the Character palette, which should be blank. Select it, type a 0 (zero), and press Enter or Tab. The problem is that Illustrator doesn't change the string ... you must use the mouse and the drop-down arrow or the +/- wheel to get your zero value. (NOTE: Sometimes this DOES work the first time or two. If your typed zero works, change the tracking and try it again.)
Anyone else see this?
