Problem with Contribute!

We encountered a problem with our Contribute software. Specifically every time
we run Contribute, enter the password, select the page to edit, and click on
the Edit Page button, the screen goes to white for about a minute and then the
program closes itself. Any idea what is wrong?

The problem lies in your code. If there is something screwy in your HTML code
Contribute will behave like that because it chokes in its attempt to render the
page in wysiwyg view.

Show us your code or a URL please.

I am having a similar issue with editing a page. Every time I go to type text,
it hangs for a minute then unexpectedly quits. I've restarted my machine,
upgraded to Contribute 3.11 (was using 3.1) and its STILL doing the exact same
thing... over and over and over and over and over........

Any suggestions appreciated. The program is essentially useless to me right
now since I can't edit our corporate website.

Did you not read my post? I'm not the original poster and have a SIMILAR
problem with the same outcome - no need to be so rude.

And apparently, IT IS CONTRIBUTE, since I got the page to edit JUST FINE in
Dreamweaver.

I agree with ?Walnut Hollow Graphics" I got the page to edit perfectly fine in Dreamweaver. Very confusing indeed..

Regardless of whether you are the original poster or not, its obvious that you
two have something in common. A lot of people look high and low for answers in
-this- forum, and its usually right under their nose... Whatever is causing
this, it's a problem which Dreamweaver is not susceptible to.

As a test, try creating a simple page inside of Dreamweaver (not using a
template) and then drop it into Contribute, and see if it allows you to make
edits.

Also, if one of you could post a URL that would be great, because then I can
see if I can get my copy of Contribute to emulate the behavior its giving you
two.
