Default problem with creating select statement and wildcards

I am trying to pull some records from a sql 7 database
and am need of some assistance in getting my sql
statement correct. I am trying to pull a single data
record from tableA. (there are duplicate records in the
table) for a 30 day period. I have the dates listed in
    tableb

    Here is what I have.

    select username from tableA
    where username like '%username'
and sessiondate between '2003-06-01' and '2003-06-28'

The only part I can not figure out is how to only show
each username 1 time. ie. joe gets listed numberous
times but I only want to pull it 1 time.

    Thanks,

    Gary
