Problem with locked index.htm

I designed a site in DW and have one user making content changes to the
site using Contribute 4.

They can modify all pages except index.htm. Contribute says that I have
the file locked.

I have tried check the file out and then back in several times. The file
shows on my computer with a lock and no icons on the server.

permissions for this user are to be able to change/add/delete any file.

What am I overlooking - alex

In Dreamweaver, can you right click the file and click Turn Off Read Only? (It's greyed-out when the file is not read only).

I have similar issue and found this resource, don't know how accuarte or if it

My files show locked on server, but are not locked in my DW site file, I still
have no solution, but will check if you find one.

Hi,

Try deleting the file index.htm.lck that is available on the server and verify whether you can edit the page in Contrbute.

The way we do it is to use an FTP program such as WS_FTP ... it allows you to see the locked files.
