problem with trial

I downloaded Contribute to try for the trial 30 days. When I start it I get a
screen asking for a serial # or 30 day trial. When I click on 30 day trial, I
get a message saying I have encountered a problem with the trial. I have
uninstalled/installed it several times, ieven downloaded it again, and
restarted my computer (pc xp). Tech support had me uninstall Reader and Active
X, and now wants to charge me $40 to advance troubleshoot, but I am not paying
anything to just check out the product. Any one out there have a similar
problem and had it resolved? I used to have an earlier version of Contribute on
my computer, be have since reformated it. I need to check out the newer version
to see if it can do what my client wants (the earlier one can't). Any
suggestions would be appreciated.
