Problem with two connections in Contribute 3

I've set up Contribute 3 on a colleague's computer to enable him to make
straightforward changes to his new site (www;ski-monterosa.com) and this is
working fine. however, when he tried to set up a new connection to a school
old-boys' site which he also has, Contribute refused to connect, with the
following error message:

[url]www.oldriders.com/[/url] is already being used by the connection "Ski Monterosa".
Please enter another web address.

the help file is telling me that "The network path you have entered conflicts
with a path already in use by one of your website connections. If you need to
access this site at a higher level, edit the path of your existing connection.
You cannot create a connection to a subfolder using this network path."

Both domains are set up on a simple hosting company - [url]www.hosts.co.uk[/url] and the
access usernames and passwords are the same, but I'm wondering whether
hosts.co.uk has set up the two accounts on the same machine, and if there's
anything I might be able to do to either convince Contribute to allow me in, or
get hosts.co.uk to change something?

Both the sites are having the same IP address. You can have connection to parent and child directory, but not to the same.
