Problems configuring Remote Objects ! Whitelist? - Macromedia Flex General Discussion

Hello, I am trying to configure and use remote objects in my flex app. I keep getting "This service was not found in the flex servers configuration whitelist" I created the classes and dropped them into ./WEB_INF/classes/myclasses directory. I edited the flex config file and set: <whitelist> <unnamed> <source>myclasses.*</source> <source>myclasses</source> <source>*</source> </unnamed> </whitelist> How can I trouble shoot this? Any ideas at all? Am I missing something? Keith...

    Default Problems configuring Remote Objects ! Whitelist?

    Hello,

    I am trying to configure and use remote objects in my flex app. I keep getting
    "This service was not found in the flex servers configuration whitelist"

    I created the classes and dropped them into ./WEB_INF/classes/myclasses
    directory.

    I edited the flex config file and set:

    <whitelist>
    <unnamed>
    <source>myclasses.*</source>
    <source>myclasses</source>
    <source>*</source>
    </unnamed>
    </whitelist>

    How can I trouble shoot this? Any ideas at all? Am I missing something?

    Keith,

    It sounds like you may be trying to use named service. Have you set the
    source property on the remote object? Try this :

    <mx:RemoteObject id="loginDelegate" source="package.Delegate">
    </mx:RemoteObject>

    replace package.Delegate with your java class.

    note : Don't set the named property unless you have configured that specific
    delegate in the whitelist. The section you configured above is the unamed
    section. You will need to configure the named section if you want to use named
    services.

    Thanks,

    No I used an unamed service.... followed all the directions... funny think is
    it works if I run the app, it finds the remote object, and runs it... but the
    flex builder warning is still there... so strange...
