    Farazy,

Tables adjust themselves to accommodate contents put into their cells. If
you post a URL to the page where this is happening and describe what you're
trying to do, someone should be able to help.

Meanwhile, here's the best tutorial ever on building pages with tables:

    Hope that helps.

    a) please don't repeatedly post the same question.

    b) PLEASE post a url to this page, and describe what you want to do, if the
    info below is wrong.

I am guessing, that you have simply put an image onto a bare new Dreamweaver
doent. It's not in a table, or not in a layer- so it's default position
    is top left.

Dw is NOT like MS Publisher or Word. You can't drag items around on the
screen and have them stay there.

Check the help files and work thru the tutorials.
You have two basic choices- set up the layout in Tables (use Regular Table
editing, not "Layout Mode") or use Layers.

    Suggest using layers.

    click mouse in design view.
Common tab of the Insert Bar- -->Insert Layer<--
Now Insert the image INTO that layer. Now drag the LAYER where you want it.

    farazy:

Actually, you *do* want the table to collapse. That's how tables become
stable - they collapse around the contents. Make sure that when the table
collapses, it then looks exactly the way you want it to! And get rid of
    cell widths/heights in your code.

People who worry about cell dimensions and preventing tables from doing
things are people who become very frustrated....
