    Default Problems with Varity

I get the cannot connect to the collection error when I try to use the vairty
server to point to another machine on my network running verity. (the K2 server
stuff) I found and followed this advice from the forum:

    1. Make sure the verity server service is running
    2. Make sure the 3 associated K2 processes are running

All are running. I did not try to use cfcollection > delete as requested, as I
have seen no deleting related errors in the logs- but I did use the admin to
delete a test collection some time back.

This is what i see in the logs when my (remote) machine tries to do a search,
or list thecollections in its admin (10.0.0.7 is the machine attempting to
search IP) after defining the search-enabled server as the K2 source.

    2005-09-14 23:22:45 Warning: [K2AdminSvc]Untrusted connection from client
    <10.0.0.7> is denied

I fished around and found a references to <trustedclients> (actually 9 of
them) in the XML docs found in the swirl of files in the varity folder, added
this IP (as only 255.0.0.0 and one other were allowed)- still the same error.

WHere do I tell verity the "trusted" machines.

I really can't believe there is no reference to this, or even the word
"untusted" in any docs, nor in this forum!! I thinkk I am mssing somethign
    painfully obvious...

    Thanks for any help!
