Product comparison sites
Hi there. I've been looking at the various product/price comparison sites out
there and feel I can do a better job comparing one of the products most of
these sites cover.
I don't wish to go into detail on that specifically, but what I would like to
know is:
What would be the easiest way to remotely query mutiple databases across many
different servers?
I read that using a web service might be most appropriate but am not entirely
sure.
Any help or advice would be much appreciated.

Re: Product comparison sites
Unless the information is publically available such as via a webservice or
an XML feed then you can not simply grab data from other sites.

Re: Product comparison sites
A DSN won't be much use to you either as it will only work on the server it
was created on.

Re: Product comparison sites
K, thanks...used to be into this more but put it down for a while and then came
the idea...
Just found out that the main site I'll need to query has a data feed on offer
anyway, I'll work out the rest.
Thanks!
