Proportional disk free checker
We have a few Unix boxen at my POW which we monitor (along with other
stuff) with the Nagios network monitor (http://www.nagios.org/). For the
disk usage we used a simple perl script that actually did the same check
for all filesystems. I found that not satisfactory, so I wrote another
script that would adjust the tresholds according to the size of the
filesystem.
If anyone would like to try it, it is available at
<http://www.hamal.nl/propdf.pl>. Execute the script with argument "-h"
for the manual. Comments are welcome, use the email address in the
script.
Cheers,
Rob
