PS 7.0.1 settings & Kodak 8500?
I am really a newbie...just got PS7 and an 8500 printer a few days ago after using MS Digital Photo Pro and an HP Officejet! Does anybody have this combo that can give me the best settings under color mgmt & color profile, RGB or 8 bits or 16 bits, embedded color or working color? Thanks, any help would be appreciated.

I use srgb straight through and my printouts on my olympus p330n always match the screen. Make sure your screen gamma is correct first. (run adobe gamma from the control panel). See if that get the colors to match. If not you'll need to create a printer profile. That's a little more work. Come back if you need to do that.

Re: PS 7.0.1 settings & Kodak 8500?
Thanks Dave...I ran the Adobe Gamma thing and it helped a LOT! I never realized how "pale" my screen looked doing other applications. I've tweaked with the printer profile and I'm ALMOST there. I just can't believe there aren't more people here that use PS7 AND the 8500...I would love to get their settings! It's expensive doing all of this "experimentation". Thanks again, Cory

Cory, you might want to check out dpreview.com. They mainly review digital cameras, but the forums have a lot of discussion about tweaking color settings for printers.
