PS file is relocated but PDF is missing in Acrobat Distiller 6

I too have suddenly been having these issues, and the fix to copy the pro / epiloque.ps files to the watched folder seems to have done the trick.

while i'm at it, i'm having an issue with the In / Out folders. When I point Distiller to the In/Out folder that was created, it re-creates both and IN and an OUT folder within the original In folder. Then, when you drop a ps file into the original IN folder (ignoring the new ones that were created), it doesn't read it. You have to manually drag the .ps file over the Distiller window to get it to distill.

If I drop the file into the newly created IN folder, it also doesn't do anything.

Any ideas?

That sounds as if, when choosing the watched folder, you chose the IN
folder. That's not how it's done; you must choose the PARENT of the IN
folder. Otherwise you are asking Distiller to do what it did.

I don't have an in or out folder. I just print postscript to the desktop and then drag to distiller. I've selected the desktop as the destination for PDFs but I don't get a PDF. After multiple tries I get one but never on the first go. I can't imagine what an in or out folder will add to the process but will try.
