Default Pub 2003 Web Site

Every time a go back to the original Pub file and make minor adjustments
...... like adjust a link or something minor ... then re post as a web site
... the file jumps in size .. sometimes several megs more. The site is now
over 100 meg in size ....

Why does it keep growing when I only make minor adjustments .... do I need
to start over to get this site to behave?

Thanks

site is at: www.lhaywardcollection.com

What are you referring to, the .pub file? The total size of all web site
files added together?

Do you have PNG and VML options off under options?

Have you installed SP1 and implemented the new image optimizer tool?

I'm refering the the size of the web site. The pub file size doesn't change
much, but everytime I then turn it back into a web site .. it grows in size
for no apparent reason?

If you are refering to SP1 for XP then yes. What is the image optimizer
tool .. part of publisher 2003 ?

Under Tools, Options there are web site options for PNG and VML support,
turn those off.
SP 1 for Office 2003 was just released. This is covered in prior posts here,
review the forum. Or visit our site at http://www.publishermvps.com
The SP includes a new tool for Pub 2003, again this is already posted here,
so review.

Can you go a little farther and explain what this does ?

PNG images are typically much larger than gif's and jpg's and thus make a
larger site size. VML adds more code to the html files and thus make those
files larger. Neither are required and I recommend they not be used.
