Default Publish PDF won't overwrite current file

I'm trying to simply replace a PDF file on a website with an updated version.
Since the filename is part of the navigation I want to keep it the same.
Contribute doesn't ask if I want to replace the file, it simple creates a new
one on the server with the base file name plus 000, 001, 002, etc. How do I get
Contribute to overwrite the file on the server?

Default Re: Publish PDF won't overwrite current file

You will have to get your administrator to give you the rights to delete files.
When you can delete them, you can also overwrite.

    If you are the administrator:
    1. in the menu go to Edit, Administer my websites
    2. go to Users and roles, pick you role, click Edit role settings
    3. go to File/folder access
    4. check the bock that allows you to delete files.
