    Default Published pages are inconsistent-help?!

    :confused;:disgust;:o:frown;:(

If anyone can help me, your advice is tremendously appreciated.... I use
Contribute 3 to edit our program's website. The weird thing is that the pages
don't look the same after I publish them. Viewed with Internet Explorer, a page
looks one way, viewed with Mozilla, it looks another way. Half the page is
right on Explorer, the other half is right on Mozilla. It's mostly the fonts
and text placement that are the problem. Has this happened to anyone else? I
feel like I've tried everything I know how to do. Any ideas? Please?

Sure, that happens to me all the time in the initial stages of designing a
site. No two browsers will display a page in exactly the same way without some
serious tweaking, especially when you use newer techniques and tags. Explorer
and Mozilla treat html and css differently, sometimes in subtle ways and
sometimes in ways that make your page appear drastically different. It's not
likely that your problem is related to Contribute (although I wouldn't rule it
    out at this point).

If you want anyone to help you, you'll need to post a link to your page and
the css file, or post the code within the message. Maybe then someone can look
at it and tell you what's causing the weirdness.

Another thing to add to this is that when you are in "edit" mode in contribute
what you see is not exactly what the page will look like published (there can
be slight variations in spacing and such). A nice feature to deal with this is
the "preview in browser" which is in the file-> actions menu or use the F12
key. This essentially publishes the page to a test draft area on the server -
you can then access that draft's url in various browsers to make sure it's
compatible across browsers before you publish it live.
