Default Q on Rounded Rectangle Tool in FW MX 2004

Yesterday, P@tty Ayers posted a question regarding the rounded rectangle
tool in MX2004. I am a MX user, and have not used 2004 yet. I am a
fence-sitter regarding the upgrade, having read about a number of new
features and a number of problems. However, one thing that put FW ahead of
other programs like Photoshop was that (1) it had a rounded rectangle tool,
and (2) the tool was precise as the roundedness could be set on the PI with
    numbers.

I use the rounded rectangle tool many times every day. In fact, I literally
use it more than any other tool. If the numerical roundedness setting on
the PI has been eliminated, I believe this is a major set backwards for the
program. Can anyone confirm that the setting is in fact missing, and
comment on the difference in the RR tool between MX and 2004?

    Many thanks!
    Chet

Actually, whenever I resize a "normal" rounded rect, the corners always
distort, but I use the Fix Rounded Rect corners command available free from
.. . . I forget whether it's John Dunning or Project FW, but they both have
superb free commands. So, effectively, you can deal with the old rounded
    rect.

Same here. Overall it's an excellent release.

I haven't kept a list of bugs, to be sure, but now that you mention it, I
think I am referring to the seeming plethora of *DW* bugs. DW affects my FW
usage because I am either migrating all or none. My bug list only comes
from the NG, and may be unsubstantiated, but there are a few confirmed bugs
and problems with DW. I used the word "afraid" to use it, not because I'm
scared of new software, but because it seems that DW2004 is hacking a lot of
people's work that was OK in the prior version. Time will tell and opinions
    will vary.

    Thanks again, Chet
