    Why don't you re-read it, I get it that the speed is faster on the new Intel machines.
    Maybe i miss read it.
    But looking at the numbers on alot of the systems except 1 Indesign is slower.

    Hopefully Indesign core dual will be faster when it comes out.

    In all tests, XPress 7.01 is slower than XPress 6.5 and InDesign CS2—running at just a fifth to a half the speed of the others.

    That is the last sentence of the mentioned article.

    Quite clear, isn't it.

    Especially funny, given that in Mac OS 9 that was one of Quark's strengths. It could be run on an older computer, and was faster than the then-current version of InDesign.
