I bet the user you have created does not have permission to write to the Quark
folder. Give the user write access to whatever folder Quark is in and you'll be
OK.

If you want to change, you may consider InDesign

just scraped through with the OS X version. We'd already ordered
InDesign, and were on the verge of switching when Quark 6 came out.
We'll order Quark 6 now, but we'll be comparing it's performance with
InDesign very closely. What with the lack of support for Adobe's MM
fonts in OS X (which our old Quark docs are full of) and the real
possibilities of some virgin Quark 6.0 patching to do, being confronted
with another piece of software to learn doesn't seem much of a hurdle.
We've got work to do wherever we turn . . .
Another tuppenny bit's worth . . .

Quark 5 running under Classic to recognize TCP/IP network printer names?
The Quark print box only displays the assigned IPs. The OSX print
center utility does the job for the native environment, but what about
Classic? I thought perhaps I could use a hosts file in the system
folder, but that doesn't seem to work . . .
