#A_PULLNO#
The commented out dump confirms that the query is infact a true query result set. However, I keep getting this error: Query Of Queries runtime error. Can't convert the string M003170 to java type LONG Oddly enought, the string "M003170" isn't in the column "A_PULLNO", so I have no idea why it's there ... it's a value in a seperate column that is not being queried. Query of Queries with constructed query using QueryNew()and QueryAddRow() - Coldfusion - Advanced Techniques

Long story short, I need to do quite a bit "heavy lifting" with a template. Specifically, I need to be able to upload a CSV file, then take the contents of the CSV file and run some calculations based on a certain "column" within a "row". I figured the best way to accomplish this is to import the CSV and convert it to a query. I have accomplished this successfully. However I run into a problem when I try to query the resulting constructed query. The following code produces the follow error: <cfquery dbtype="query" name="qGetPulls"> SELECT DISTINCT A_PULLNO FROM myQuery ...

"distinct" contains an implicit sort, perhaps there's the source of the problem.
Did you try the w?query of queries without the distinct, and does that work?

To take Yalta's point into account, try then

    SELECT DISTINCT A_PULLNO
    FROM myQuery
    ORDER BY A_PULLNO
