Question about overseas radio formats - Mac Applications & Software

I have a Pismo with a 56k connection - cannot get broadband yet. I am trying to check out some stations from the Dominican Republic for live download. One station has a .pls extension (http://lan103.dynu.com:8004/listen.pls) iTunes tries to open it but I only get noise. Another station appears (with my limited Spanish) to have a WinAmp broadcast format. What's a Macman to do? Maybe that's what they're "broadcasting". iTunes does play .pls, as you
    can prove easily:

PLS is a simple playlist file. You can open it in a text editor and see
a list (often only one) of URLs.
