Question about Tab Leaders

I am trying to set a tab leader of dots between text and have it appear similar to the following. $25.60.......$25.80 It is coming out like this 25.80 ..... 25.80 There are extra spaces between the text and the dots. Any ideas on what I am doing wrong. Your help is appreciated.

If anyone has any pointers on how to control the tab leaders I could sure use the help. I've spent so much time trying to figure out what is causing all the spacing problems. There just doesn't seem to be any consistency. This is another example of how it looks. 23.40 ...... 23.60

Sorry but I can't seem to be able to post an example without it looking consistent (which it isn't). What I am trying to say is maybe there is a half inch between the 0 and the frist part of the leader and then at the end it may be and inch and a half. The spacing never seems to be the same. Your help is appreciated.
