quicktime controls on mac os 9 - Macromedia Director Basics

Having a problem with a director 8.5 projector that runs from a cd on mac os9. There is a quicktime movie which is played direct to stage (not imported), with quicktime controllers enabled. The problem is that when the quicktime movie loads the controller bar does not appear correctly. The play and volume buttons are missing. They do work if you mouse over and press them then they appear. Any ideas?? Thanks...

directotostage has nothing to do with importing.
For optimal performance you should always have the movies external to
the projector/dxr (linked).
Do you get the same problem with directostage turned off?

If you want me to look at this in more detail for you, you can email at
abfrhotamil.com of course you will need to spell the domain as
hotmail.com.
