RDS login in dreamweaver not working. Help Needed Fast
Okay so i setup a Mysql database on G-uniX.com , and i used the CF 7.1 admin to
connect to it and it was succesfuly.. then i used coldfusion to input some
tables and etc into my database and that also worked. now when i go to
dreamweaver 8 and i open the cfm from my defined site and go to application ,
Database and Rds Login it says the server name or adress could not be resolved
1. The url of localhost:8500/coldfusion is wrong (2) the coldfusion server is
not running on localhost:8500/coldfusion .. so i go to
localhost:8500/coldfusion and its running the server is running , so why cant i
get RDS to work?

Re: RDS login in dreamweaver not working. Help NeededFast
I have the same problem and need help also. I am set up with MySQL and CF 7.1
and Dreamweaver 7.0.1 and trying to connect to my database to use dynamic data.
When I click on Step 4 under the Databases tab to specify the RDS login I get
the following error:
The server name or address could not be resolved. Possible reasons:
1. The URL specified for the site's testing server may be incorrect:
http://localhost:8500/cce
2. The testing server may be incorrectly configured (for example Coldfusion
may not be running)
I have entered an RDS password using Coldfusion Administrator.
Thanks for any help...anyone!!

Excatly , I get the same message here also . I also tried turing off my
firewall (Zonealarm Pro 5.whatever) and it still showed the same message , so i
think its most likely not the firewall. BTW Pineapple, while you wait do this ,
go to dreamweaver and make a new html doc and under properties where you choose
the colour type dreamweaver and press enter and see waht you get :) , now i
wait for someone else to answer this question. lol
