RDS Password not working
I recently installed Coldfusion 6.1 and the setup went well. I was able to
designate and set my RDS password and everything appeared to be accepted.
But, when I try to set up my database connection in Dreamweaver MX 2004 I get
to "Step 4: Specify the RDS login information for ColdFusion server." and it
will not recognize my RDS password.
I have reset the password several times in my administrator panel, but there
seems to be a complete disconnect between the RDS password I set in the
Coldfusion Admin panel and the RDS connection that Dreamweaver is trying to
access.
I'm on Windows XP Professional.
Any help is appreciated!

Re: RDS Password not working
I had a problem with the RDS password in DW. Although mine was different than yours you might try this anyway.
There is a technote at http://www.macromedia.com/go/tn_17276 that outlines how to disable RDS. I don't know if
Dreamweaver recognizes that it doesn't then need one but its worth giving a shot.

Re: RDS Password not working
1. Disable RDS (follow Stillwaiting's link to see how to do so)
2. Restart the Coldfusion MX server
3. In the Coldfusion Administrator, tick the checkbox, Use an RDS password for
Dreamweaver MX, HomeSite+, or the ColdFusion ReportBuilder. Enter a new RDS
password and Submit the changes
3. Re-enable RDS
4. Log in to RDS
