RDS under unix and Root
We are using CFMX 7 - jRun running under NOBODY and Solaris Unix in our
development environment . RDS is enabled which we have discovered is opening
access to everything from the unix root on down. In a multi
geographic/developer environment, this is scarry as it allows for an accident
waiting to happen (delete files - move directiries etc)
I am curious tto learn if there is a way to secure RDS so that only specific
directiries can be viewed withint the WEB root directory for different
developers. I.e imagine a hosting environment where other develpers must not
have access to someone elses code , is there something in UNIX that can ge done
to limit access (Samba and FTP is not an alternative at this time)
