RealPlayer woes - Mac Networking

The other day, I was listening to Froots Radio's stream of its hourlong April show (located at http://www.frootsmag.com/radio/ ). WHile it was playing (I was about halfway through), I accidentally clicked on another RealAudio stream link, which stopped the Froots stream and started the new one. I stopped that stream, and tried to go back to the Froots stream, but I couldn't get it to play. After 2-3 minutes, RealPlayer just gave me a "connection problem" error. I tried repeatedly to reconnect over the past three days-- same problem. On a hunch, I tried playing items from other internet sources ...

    Default RealPlayer woes

The other day, I was listening to Froots Radio's stream of its hourlong
April show (located at http://www.frootsmag.com/radio/ ). WHile it was
playing (I was about halfway through), I accidentally clicked on
another RealAudio stream link, which stopped the Froots stream and
    started the new one.

I stopped that stream, and tried to go back to the Froots stream, but I
couldn't get it to play. After 2-3 minutes, RealPlayer just gave me a
"connection problem" error. I tried repeatedly to reconnect over the
    past three days-- same problem.

On a hunch, I tried playing items from other internet sources and found
out I'm no longer able to play any *other* realplayer items-- the
other Froots streams, NPR news streams, sound samples from Amazon....
*none* of them work. I just get a lot of silence and then a
"connection problem" error. It's like it's just broken or something!

I've tried deleting my preferences for Real Player and deleting and
re-installing the application itself-- to no avail. RealPlayer's
online help seems pretty useless for this problem.

    Any ideas?

There have been some recent reports of Airport software upgrades causing
problems for RealOne Player streams. The workaround seems to be to
disable all Transport preferences in the player except for http.
