presented in a clear way for him. Most of what's out there is for
people with experience in the field, but don't know Flash itself.
I'd say look into the Flash MX 2004 For Dummies (no offense) this is a
really good book for people who know little to nothing about the topic
and it uses plain language to make the transition easy. It's a book.
Or you can look for learning DVDs on Flash that will provide visual
walkthroughs along with lessons and such.
Good luck to you both!

Re: Recommended program for learning/using Flash
So far as books to learn from I would recommend the Training from the
Source books from Macromedia. They have tutorials as well as discussion
sections throughout that explain what is being done. They also are
written for a variety of skill levels which can be especially helpful.
You can also check out www.flashkit.com which has tutorials available
for free, but they are written by anyone who wants to post one, so
mileage may vary.

Re: Recommended program for learning/using Flash
Thank you both for your help, he's found two books and is looking at
the flashkit website. He's making progress and promises to leave me
in his dust :-)
Thanks again!
