Re: Reduce File Size Command
Afraid nor everyone's gone to PDF's. I'd whole lot rather look at a "Dead Tree" manual because I can scan through the book and mark the passages needed. Jst can't get into reading a PDF manual. For one thing its too slow even on my PowerBook 1.67 17" with 2 mb RAM. One both my Desktop G4-500 and my PowerBook 1.67Gb; it takes Acrobat atleast a minute or more to Stop the spinning pizza wheel when openning. No other Application takes as long Reader about 45 seconds to stop the pizza wheel spinning.
Guess it has to do with the fonts, although with the exception Bengauit, a cusom font mad from my handwritting. The only fonts on my PB other than standard fonts from System are Office fonts. Now on my Desktop, I have an OS9 hard Drive and the system reads the OS9 fonts. But Word handles the same fonts with no problems
