Re: Reduce Image size
50K or so for the web page to yield decent download performance on a dialup
line. Your page currently weighs in at about 179K not including the SWF
file.
You can use the Scale Tool to resize images within Fireworks. To reduce
their filesize, select Export Preview and adjust the color depth, file
format, etc.
From within Export Preview you can choose up to 4 different views of the
image to be exported so you can see what effect your setting have on the
image quality.
Cheers,
Sam

first thing to pay attention at is image compression. FW's "Preview" tab, or
"Export preview" thingie, are excellent for that - they let you dinamically
choose file format, compression settings, and immediately preview the result
and read the filesize.
What as to scaling down the image, use either Scale tool or numeric
transform. Since sizing down means removing part of the details, a touch of
Unsharp Mask after it may help.
