Re: Reinstalling adobe 5.0 in MAC OS 9.2
I have almost the same problem but I am not deleting another Acrobat. Have tried to install Acrobat 5.0 on a Mac Classic OS 9.2 on a G3 that also runs OS 10.2.9. I went into 9.2.1 sysytem, set the extension manger to a few extensions, installed the Acrobat 5.0, then restared. I reset the Extension Mgr. to the working set. But the Acrobat, although it shows up as installed in the Folder, does not have an icon in the folder and I am unable to start it. can you help?

Reinstalling adobe 5.0 in MAC OS 9.2
I was able to find this in my old mail files from Adobe-when they still
supported OS 9.
I followed it, then reinstalled Acrobat 5 from my CD-and it now works fine.
It is a little tedious, but most files are easy to locate using the "Find"
action under the "File" options at the top of your screen.
You must delete all of these old files before you reload Acrobat 5, or it
just don't work. After you do, it reloads fine.
Pass this along to anyone with a similar problem.

Re: Reinstalling adobe 5.0 in MAC OS 9.2
Mike,
Found a PDF file & opened it so that Acrobat had to come up; then wiped clean the doc. and saved it on my Desktop to use as an "Alias", which was not the best. Then using Find as Richard suggested I was able to find the actual program & create an Acrobat Alias. So, that's it now. Thanks.
