Re: Remote desktop what ports are needed?
TCP port 3389 is the only port that is needed for Remote Desktop.
There may be a firewall at your workplace that is blocking this traffic from
the internet. You could talk to your network admin and try to get this port
opened if that is the case (a bad idea if people on your network are using
weak passwords). You could also see if you can VPN into you work network
to get through the Firewall and then Remote Desktop should work.
