remove favorite links - Windows Vista

    Should just be able to right click the menu, and untick the Favouites menu.

    You can remove individual links such as Doents, Pictures, Music etc.. by
    right clicking on each individual link and click "Remove Link". If you want
    to remove the entire Favorite links, the Explorer folder tree would also be
    sacrificed. Click Organize > click "Navigation Pane".

    The general rule of thumb with the registry is this - if there's a way to do
    it in Windows without using the Registry, then don't use the Registry to do
    it ;o)
