    I do the same thing also, Ann. It's funny that the company that makes both the computer and the OS would do something that lots of people would advise against. Maybe it is to keep service bureaus in business (wink wink).

    If you are using a font management program i.e., Suitcase, create an "application set" of the app that uses the Helvetica TTF version. Add the Type 1 version to each set. It does not matter where the font resides as long as your font manager locates and activates it when needed.
