Removing Contribute Toolbar from Outlook
First of all, I've searched the existing topic. This question applies to Web
Premium CS3.
When I open an email in Outlook by double clicking it, for example, the window
which opens has the contribute toolbar. If I right-click and disable the
toolbar, it appears next time I open an email. For previous versions, it was
possible to use the installer to change or remove individual components. With
Web Premium CS3 this is not the case. The installer gives the option to install
or uninstall Contribute CS3, but you cannot seem to manually change the
individual components which are installed.
So first question would be: Please tell us how we can disable these with Web
Premium CS3.
Secondly, some feedback which I hope can be passed on to the devs: This
criticism applies to both the Contribute and Acrobat toolbars when using MS
Outlook (version being used is Outlook 2003, on XP SP2). Please allow us to
just right-click and disable a toolbar, and have it remember this. It is very
obtrusive - in my view - when software doesn't respect a basic user option to
not be displayed when asked. Secondly, these toolbars don't even
remember where they have been placed.

Other than these two annoyances, CS3 is looking pretty snazzy. :)

Re: Removing Contribute Toolbar from Outlook
Go to http://www.adobe.com/go/kb400807 - theres a couple ways to remove the
Contribute toolbars.
1. Make sure that Contribute and any Microsoft Office programs are closed
before performing the next steps.
2. For Contribute 4, browse to C:\Program Files\Adobe|Contribute 4\
For Contribute CS3, browse to C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Contribute
CS3\
3. Rename the file OfficePlugin.dll to OfficePlugin.old,
4. Relaunch the Office application and verify that the toolbar is gone.
